Phillip Hurt has Passed Away - Last of Tell and Pearl Hurt Children

(posted 1/30/2021) - Phillip E. Hurt of Estero Florida passed away in his sleep on Friday, January 29th. His daughter Patsy (Alyson) Hurt was at his bedside. Phil went into local Hospice Care after falling and sustaining a disabling spiral fracture of the lower leg earlier in the year.

Patsy has included an obituary and some photos that capture various important times in Phillips long and eventful life. I converted what she sent to PDF format files which are linked here -- obituary and here -- pictures .

Let's all take a moment to mark the passing of the last sibling in Tell and Pearl's family. Each of them lived a long and interesting life and were all at heart good and generous people. I consider myself lucky to have known this family and will cherish all the memories for the rest of my life.

PS -- I've created a youtube video from some old 1960 8mm film; scanned back around 2000 - it is low resolution material so best viewed in box no bigger than 400px wide. Phillip was behind the camera -- he and Loistel were the videographers for many of our family get togethers. It just seemed appropriate to tag this little video onto this posting -- I have fond memories of those family get togethers.
