Easter - 1960 Pearl and Tell Hurt -- Short Movie

(4-30-2019) - I recently bought an 8mm movie film scanner and tried it out on a 59 year-old movie reel (about 2.5 minutes) that I had in a box in the basement. To my happy surprise the film was still viable and the scanner seems to work as advertised.

It scans about 2 frames per second (8mm film projected at 16 - 18 frames per second originally). It took about 24 minutes to scan the film reel (automated). I then spent an hour editing the resulting MP4 file on my computer and placed the result on YouTube. The scanner captures at 720 x 480 DV resolution -- this file is a 640 x 480. I Hope you enjoy this blast from the past (PS the music is my composition so I hope you enjoy that too).
