Despite Rainy Weather -- 2012 Reunion Was Big Success!

We had a great reunion Sept 2nd, even though the day started out rainy. We were able to enjoy pleasant breezes with just a touch of humidity all afternoon at Ron and Sherry's river-front home in Kankakee.

The two remaining siblings of Pearl and Tell Hurt's family were present; Jan Wallace (almost 93) and Phil Hurt (84). Everyone got a chance to visit with each of them this year, and Jon video'd them reminiscing about their younger years. Did you know they met John Dillinger briefly right after he broke out of jail nearby in Indiana (he asked Phil and Jan for directions to Route 49 on his way to Chicago, where he was later shot and killed by the FBI outside the Biograph Theatre).
