Phillip Hurt Officially Becomes a Texan - April 2012

Phil successfully sold his home in Martinsville, IL and has officially taken residence in Houston, TX. His primary residence is adjacent to his daughter's home; Phil and Imogene have wintered their for several years.

Phil says the biggest change is that he had to get a Texas Drivers License. Luckily he got a six year licence and won't have to renew until he's almost 90!

I know Phil and Imogene have lot's of friends and relatives in central Illinois -- but now that Imogene's in an assisted living facility Phil prefers to be close by year round.

Here are pictures I took of Phil's home in Houston, and the home in Martinsville he just sold. These were taken in 2007 (link to the original post is right here).

Phil and daughter Patsy are flying in to attend this year's Hurt Reunion so plan on attending to catch up since last year. I'll be posting information on the reunion soon -- It will be on Sunday, Labor Day weekend again this year, so mark your calendars
