Auction Day Facts and Photos Archive
There were over 250 registered bidders at the auction. There were over 3000 separate item lots sold between 10:00AM and 6PM. There were 3 auctioneers, with two continuous auctions running all day.
Below are some pictures of auction day. Each is titled and has a short accompanying text description. These pictures don't begin to show all the stuff that was sold ... a truly amazing house-cleaning event! I plan to leave this page up as an archive to document this special auction event.

Auction Information
The auction will be held in the Martinsville Illinois Fairgrounds enclosed Arts Hall Pavillion, on Saturday October 7th, starting at 10AM, rain or shine.
Bidders may preview items October 6th from 2-6PM, and October 7th after 8:30AM.
There are on site restrooms, food vendors, and ample parking. There are no admission fees.
This is a non-reserve auction targeted towards dealers and knowledgeable collectors. Phil Hurt has been an active collector for over 30 years and is holding this one time sale to reduce top-line inventory.
